Pau is the entrepreneur behind Mercat Frutal. It is a project that he has been working on for the last 6 years and aims to create the Fruit Circuit.

Circuit Frutal connects the organic nutrition., recycling and composting in a unique circular solution that improves the sustainability of the agri-food sector.

MERCAT FRUTAL

Its purpose is to promote organic food from local farmers in the Mercat Frutal physical and online store, aimed at individuals and communities, companies and schools.

FRUTAL KITCHEN

Soon it will start with the kitchen where drinks, quick and delicious dishes will be created to sell physically and online. We want to be recognized not only for the quality of our store but also for our cuisine.

FRUTAL COMPOSTING

The objective is to recover organic waste from our customers, from the store and from the kitchen to make Fruit Compost together with our associated farmers. With it, the vegetables for the next harvest will be grown.

FRUTAL HUB

The idea is to enhance the ecosystem in the Frutal Hub by creating digital and physical content about our circuit so that more people join the project.

Mercat Frutal has a wonderful team, with Pau, Evelio, Vicenta, Juaki, Laia, Silvia and Elena, each responsible for different areas and working full time. We are proud of the effort and achievements achieved by our team.

Farmers network...

Mercat Frutal currently has a network of more than 20 local and organic farmers and producers who supply the store. We only work with healthy, organic and local products. Get to know some of them:

LoÏc

Green In Blue offers fresh, spectacular-tasting aquaponic products. They have lettuce and aromatics that save up to 95% of water compared to a traditional crop.

Pepo

He has been a friend for many years and he likes his passion for natural wines and cherries. He is an agronomist who is going to recover the family field and convert it into organic crops. And without a place it grows the best cherries in Rasquera.

Andy

He is a great farmer, his experience in the field shows and he likes what he does. We met him 2 years ago and we increasingly trust his fresh products with a spectacular flavor. Their watermelons and figs are to die for.

Sr. Tomás

He was a school teacher and since his retirement he enjoys taking care of his citrus fields with a lot of love. Oranges and grapefruits have a brutal flavor.

Pedro

Farmer of magnificent organic pomegranates. They are certified as organic by the Committee for Organic Agriculture of the Valencian Community (CAECV).

Marc

One of the best breads in Catalonia. Marc works directly with Santi, one of the 4 farmers who produce ancient flours. Its ingredients are totally organic and make its flavor unmatched.
